Privacy & POPIA notice

Rebalance Body Health ("RBBH", "we", "us") is a holistic wellness practice based in West Beach and Somerset West, Cape Town. This notice explains how we handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

When you complete our enquiry or booking form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, preferred location and the message you send. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive the information you share there.

If you send a product request from our Products page, we also collect the products you selected and any note you add, along with the name and email you provide, so we can respond to your request. No payment is taken on the website — a request is an enquiry, not an order.

Because our work relates to health and wellbeing, anything you tell us about how you are feeling may be "special personal information" under POPIA. We only process it with your consent and to respond to your enquiry.

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and manage your appointment, and provide the wellness support you ask for. We rely on your consent (given via the tick-box on our form) and, where relevant, on our legitimate interest in running the practice.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it to anyone.

We share your information only with trusted service providers (operators) who help us run the practice and respond to you - for example our website host, our email provider, spam-protection services, and the mapping provider used for the maps on our location pages. These providers process your information on our behalf and under our instructions.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as needed to help you and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. [Retention period to be confirmed by the practice.]

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to certain processing, or withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, contact our Information Officer at admin@rbbh.co.za.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe your information has not been handled properly.

Our site uses only the cookies needed to function. The maps on our location and contact pages load from a third-party mapping provider when you view them, which may set its own cookies; you can decline non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version applies from the date shown below.
